About the role
The casual Breakfast Chef will mainly work independently to effectively prepare, batch cook throughout service and serve the Breakfast offer, ensuring an excellent guest and customer experience.
The casual Breakfast Chef will ensure that the preparation of the food is of a high standard and complies with food and safety regulations.
The role is predominantly covering breakfast service; however the need may arise to assist with other services to cover absence/holidays.
Main duties for our casual Breakfast Chef’s include-
- Ensure all food preparation meets standards.
- To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen operation.
- Attend all Health and Safety Training as directed by designated Line Manager.
- Prepare and present high-quality food.
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Be environmentally aware
The person we are looking for as a casual Breakfast Chef has….
- A clear focus on delivering fantastic customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- NVQ Level 3 food preparation preferred
- Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Previous experience within a branded hotel is a distinct advantage
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
