Lingfield Equine Vets is an independent, progressive equine practice based in Felbridge, Surrey, with a well-established reputation for clinical excellence and exceptional client care across Surrey, Sussex and Kent. We are sad to be replacing a greatly valued and highly regarded member of our orthopaedic team who is relocating abroad. We are seeking an experienced, orthopaedically driven Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive and highly skilled clinical team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who thrives on complex orthopaedic caseload and is passionate about advancing standards of equine surgery. You will join a dedicated team of ambulatory vets, advanced practitioners and specialists across both medicine and orthopaedics, with the full support of our nursing and administrative staff. Our purpose‑built clinic and facilities include:
- A dedicated elective surgery operating theatre
- Purpose‑built clinic with advanced investigation spaces
- A multidisciplinary team including medicine and orthopaedic specialists and advanced practitioners
- Shockwave, therapeutic laser, surgical laser, endoscope and ultrasound
- Lameness Locator
Key Responsibilities
- Further develop the orthopaedic service, including clinic‑based caseload and complex lameness workups
- Perform, support and/or facilitate a range of elective and emergency orthopaedic procedures
- Support and mentor colleagues and students, including involvement with clinical development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Contribute to advancing clinical standards and best‑practice protocols
About You
- RCVS‑registered, with an established background in equine orthopaedic diagnostics
- Confident in managing complex lameness cases
- An excellent communicator with a positive, collaborative approach
- Passionate about delivering high standards of clinical care
