We are a fast-growing charity seeking a team-player with a positive can-do attitude, happy to work in a busy environment, and able to help deliver creative marketing assets and ideas to further the reach, impact and work of the organisation.

The role requires a willingness to learn new marketing and communications skills.

About the Employer

Lingen Davies launched in 1979 to bring cancer care services closer to the people of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid-Wales.

Lingen Davies Cancer Support supports people across the region affected by cancer.

We aim to improve cancer prevention and early diagnosis, enhance cancer treatment and services locally, and support people to live well, with and beyond cancer.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Support the communications and marketing team with a wide range of general marketing tasks.
  • Be willing to learn new marketing and communications skills.
  • Liaise with supporters and the general public as required to capture stories and content for social media and news features, maintaining empathy, compassion and professionalism at all times.
  • Design flyers and posters for promotional material.
  • Support the administration and set up of fundraising events.
  • Build positive working relationships across the team.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment, including collaborating on charity-wide projects.
  • Demonstrate the charity’s values and behaviours in all communications and interactions.
  • Carry out other tasks that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role.
  • Key Relationships

The post-holder will initially report to the Head of Communications.

You will also work closely with other members of the Communications & Marketing team, particularly the Marketing and Events Lead and the Communications & Marketing Coordinator.

Daily Activities

Every day is different.

Activities may include taking photos of cheque presentations, talking to supporters to gather stories, editing videos for social media, drafting social media posts, designing flyers and banners for events, supporting events administration with volunteers, helping the team prepare for fundraising events, or participating in team training days.
