Stoke Gifford Village, part of the Extra Care Charitable Trust, is recruiting care staff now. This is an exciting time to join Stoke Gifford and be part of a supportive team in a luxury retirement village. We provide a domiciliary care service all under one roof.

Role: Care Assistant

Hours: Various contracts 19 hrs per week, 15 hrs per week, 11.5 hrs per week

Shift: AM and PM shifts including 7:00–14:30, 7:00–11:00, 7:00–10:30, 14:30–22:00, 16:00–22:00. Includes alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Salary: £13.61 per hour

Location: Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, Edward Parker Road, Bristol, BS16 1YG

Responsibilities:

  • Provide all aspects of domiciliary care to residents, including physical and personal care and support with social activities
  • Promote and support the physical, emotional and well-being of residents
  • Encourage independence and self-belief
  • Ensure records and documents are completed in line with policy

Person Specification:

  • Hold a care certificate or be willing to undertake a care qualification
  • Personable, an effective communicator and a team player
  • Passionate about delivering a quality care service
  • Flexible with hours
