The Mission: You'll architect and deploy a cryptographically secure federated learning system that makes the impossible possible. This isn’t academic theory. This is production infrastructure that needs to work in the real world, with real failures and real stakes.
What you will build:
- Privacy Infrastructure That Actually Works
- Design and implement GPU accelerated Trusted Execution Environments for processing hyperspectral imagery
- Build differential privacy mechanisms with formal guarantees
- Keep processing overhead under 5x vs. non-private baseline
- Pass independent cryptographic security audit no handwaving, no shortcuts
- Deploy secure federated learning protocol across conservation sites
- Implement encrypted gradient computation and Byzantine robust aggregation
- Monitor for gradient inversion attacks and side channel leaks
- Handle real-world chaos: network dropouts, corrupted data, system crashes
- Validate privacy guarantees against membership inference and model inversion attacks
- Document security architecture for nationwide deployment
- Co-author peer-reviewed publication and present at top security conferences
You Have:
- PhD or Master’s in computer Science, Information Security, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- Strong implementation skills and you write production code (C++, Python), not just theory
- Deep understanding of cryptographic protocols and security systems
- Hands-on experience with at least one: Trusted Execution Environments (SGX, SEV), Differential Privacy implementation, Secure multi-party computation, or Privacy preserving ML
Bonus Points For:
- Federated learning experience
- Published research in privacy/security venues (IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, CCS, PETS)
- Security auditing or penetration testing background
