Site Engineer - New build shed

Role: Site Engineer
Start date: 4th September
Project: New Build Steel-Framed Shed
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Site Manager to join a construction project in Preston, working on a new-build steel-framed shed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong engineering and setting-out support.
An in date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out foundations, steelwork and associated structures.
- Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions.
- Reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings.
- Working closely with steel erectors and groundworkers.
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring works are completed to specification.
- Monitoring progress and identifying any technical issues on site.
- Liaising with subcontractors and the wider site team.
- Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- In date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on steel frame, industrial or commercial projects.
- Strong setting-out experience.
- Good understanding of groundworks and structural steelwork.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Confident using engineering equipment and site technology.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications and site experience.
