We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a refurbishment project involving the renovation and upgrade of existing living accommodation in Catterick. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the works, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the refurbishment works from start to completion
  • Supervising subcontractors and site operatives
  • Coordinating trades and ensuring works are progressing to programme
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety across site
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
  • Managing site paperwork, RAMS and daily records
  • Liaising with the Project Manager, subcontractors and client representatives
  • Ensuring materials, labour and plant are coordinated effectively
  • Identifying and resolving any issues that may impact programme or quality

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, fit-out or general building projects
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site
