Linear Recruitment are currently working with an established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Civils Supervisor on a freelance basis for a civils scheme in Crook, County Durham.
The Role
- Supervising day-to-day civils works on site.
- Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives.
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.
- Monitoring progress and reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS.
- Managing site activities and coordinating plant, labour and materials.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
- Supporting the Site Management team with the successful delivery of the project.
- Carrying out daily briefings and ensuring site teams understand the required works and safe systems of working.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Civils Supervisor / Foreman / Chargehand.
- Strong experience within civil engineering and groundworks.
- A good understanding of site operations, sequencing and construction programmes.
- SSSTS certification as a minimum.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to confidently manage subcontractors and site operatives.
- A proactive approach to health & safety and quality.
