The Opportunity
Linear Recruitment are currently working with an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced
Freelance Civil Site Supervisor to work on a
Sewage Treatment Works (STW) scheme in Bishop Auckland .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Supervisor with a strong civil engineering and water industry background to join an established project team on a freelance basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising day-to-day civil engineering works across the Sewage Treatment Works project.
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and labour to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and the project programme.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Liaising closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, engineers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring progress and reporting any issues, delays or technical concerns.
- Coordinating labour, materials and plant effectively.
- Carrying out site inspections and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Completing relevant site documentation, permits, records and reports.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with company and client procedures.
About You
- Previous experience working as a
Civil Site Supervisor .
- Strong background within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure .
- Previous experience working on
Sewage Treatment Works / water treatment projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
- Confident managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
SSSTS or SMSTS .
CSCS card.
- First Aid qualification desirable.
