Freelance Site Manager – Roads & Sewers Scheme
Location: Ashington
Duration: Approx. 6 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a live roads and sewers infrastructure scheme in Ashington. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong civils background to oversee the successful delivery of works on a short-term contract, with the potential for further opportunities following completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to programme
- Overseeing roads, drainage, and sewer infrastructure works
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
- Maintaining quality control and completing site documentation
- Liaising with the project team, engineers, and client representatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils/infrastructure projects
- Previous experience delivering roads and sewers schemes
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
- Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery
