We're recruiting an

Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the water sector.

Working as part of an established pre-construction team, you'll play a key role in securing work on high-value frameworks, collaborating with bid, planning, procurement and operational teams to produce accurate, competitive tenders.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects across the water sector.
  • Reviewing tender documents, drawings and Bills of Quantities to develop robust pricing and methodologies.
  • Working closely with bid, planning and procurement teams to identify risks, opportunities and key assumptions.
  • Presenting estimates at tender adjudications and supporting client negotiations where required.
  • Providing detailed handovers to delivery teams following contract award.

What we're looking for

  • Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
  • Knowledge of projects such as pipelines, MEICA, tunnelling, shafts, rail civils or groundworks .
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience producing tender build-ups and using estimating software (Candy or similar).
  • Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating across technical and operational teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Chartered status is beneficial but not essential.
