Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a major carbon capture infrastructure project , supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most significant programmes within the energy and infrastructure sector.
The successful candidate will take senior commercial responsibility for the delivery of large-scale infrastructure works, managing projects from contract award through to final account while working closely with clients, project teams, and the supply chain.
This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established contractor that offers long-term career development, exposure to flagship infrastructure projects, and a strong pipeline of secured work.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of projects, ensuring successful financial outcomes.
- Negotiate subcontract terms and manage specialist subcontractor and supplier accounts.
- Administer contracts in accordance with NEC3/NEC4 Option A and C.
- Assess and manage contract variations, compensation events, and associated commercial risks.
- Monitor project costs, produce Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), valuations and commercial reports.
- Validate subcontract applications and payments.
- Maintain change registers and Defined Cost records for client audits.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Support project close-out, ensuring contractual obligations and final accounts are completed.
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, particularly Option A and C.
- Experience managing subcontract procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts.
- Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively within project teams.
