The Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing construction sites to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with project teams, engineers, and commercial staff to support successful project delivery across civil engineering and water infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, subcontractors, programme delivery, and project performance
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Produce and manage project documentation including RAMS, programmes, and site records
- Lead site teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and defect-free
- Manage project costs, procurement schedules, reporting, and value engineering opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams
About You
Essential
- Experience working within Civil Engineering as a Site Agent or similar role
- Good knowledge of CDM regulations, programme management, cost control, and contract conditions
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CSCS Card and SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
- Temporary Works Coordinator and Confined Space training
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage teams and maintain high standards of safety and quality
Desirable
- Water sector experience
- Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and Primavera P6
- Working towards CEng, MICE, or equivalent professional accreditation
