We are recruiting on behalf of a top-tier contractor for a Sub Agent to join a brand-new £100m+ highways project in Suffolk. This role will focus on either Roadworks or Structures, so experience in these areas is preferred, but general highways or civil engineering backgrounds will also be considered. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major infrastructure scheme, ensuring health & safety, quality, and cost control while keeping the project on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of a section of works, supervising site teams and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage the programme, ensuring efficient project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ regulations, including RAMS, site inductions, and inspections.
- Maintain key stakeholder and subcontractor relationships.
- Monitor progress and performance, providing regular reports to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, QA documentation, and audits.
- Drive efficiency, value engineering, and continuous improvement on-site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sub Agent on highways or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, drawings, and specifications.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant civil engineering qualifications.
- Ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and technical challenges.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Office 365, and project reporting tools.
