Freelance Site Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Facades Site Manager to oversee a brick slip façade installation on a major project in Central London. The role will have a strong focus on the management and coordination of access cradles, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant façade installation works.

You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, coordinating specialist subcontractors, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of façade works, specifically brick slip systems
  • Supervision and coordination of access cradle operations and sequencing
  • Ensuring all works comply with H&S legislation, RAMS, and site procedures
  • Liaising with principal contractor, façade subcontractors, and access providers
  • Monitoring programme, productivity, and quality of installation
  • Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Managing snagging, quality assurance, and handover documentation
  • Reporting progress, issues, and risks to the project team

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Façades Site Manager or similar role
  • Strong background in brick slip façade systems
  • Demonstrable experience managing access cradles / mast climbers / suspended access systems
  • SMSTS (essential)
  • CSCS Black or Gold Card (essential)
  • First Aid at Work (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of façade sequencing and interfaces
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Experience working on Central London projects
