Site Manager

Job Title: Site Manager  Location: South Shields Contract: Temporary (Temp to Perm Considered) Start Date: 9th June 2025 We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a prestigious college project based in South Shields. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile build, with the potential for a temp-to-perm transition depending on performance and skill level. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities from start to completion Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme deadlines are met Liaise closely with the project management team, architects, and client representatives Maintain site records, including progress reports, health & safety compliance, and material orders Ensure that the works progress efficiently, safely, and to the required standard Essential Skills & Experience: Strong background in earthworks, groundworks, and sub-structure phases Proven experience delivering projects through to main structural stages Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and First Aid certificates (all essential) Desirable: Experience managing educational or public sector projects Temporary works knowledge NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Site Management
