Overview We are working on behalf of a tier one contractor to recruit an experienced Site Agent to lead the delivery of civil engineering projects across the Thames Valley region. This Site Agent role will see you managing site operations end-to-end – from planning and execution to quality, safety, and commercial performance – ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll be working within a regulated water sector framework, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage all site activities as Site Agent to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery. * Oversee and support sub agents, engineers, and foremen to meet programme, quality, and cost targets. * Develop and implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management procedures. * Produce and manage construction programmes, lookaheads, and procurement schedules. * Maintain robust cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting. * Act as the main point of contact for the client, stakeholders, and the public. * Chair progress meetings, produce accurate reports, and ensure KPI targets are achieved. * Identify and drive value engineering opportunities. Qualifications & Experience Essential: * Proven experience as a Site Agent in civil engineering, ideally in the water or utilities sector. * Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, contract management (NEC/JCT), design processes, and cost control. * Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). * CSCS card, IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, and confined space training. * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Desirable: * CEng MICE or equivalent professional status. * Experience with Primavera P6 planning software.
