Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a complex civil engineering project within the water sector. The role involves working closely with the Project Manager and site teams to manage construction activities and ensure safe, high-quality delivery to programme and budget.
The project includes the repair and remediation of bridge structures and trunk sewer barrels across rail and road spans. The works are currently in the design phase, offering involvement from early design through to site delivery on a technically challenging package.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead site teams to deliver works safely, on programme and to specification.
- Manage and implement project documentation including RAMS, ITPs and permits.
- Assist with programme management, short-term planning and resource coordination.
- Maintain strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Manage cost control, site records and identification of variations.
- Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports and chair site meetings as required.
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong experience in civil engineering, ideally within the water sector.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, programme and cost control.
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- CSCS card.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
- Temporary Works Coordinator
- Confined Space and lifting operations experience
