Our client is looking for a Site Engineer to work on a freelance basis covering from the start of March. This role will initially be finishing a scheme in North Manchester, moving on to a site in Derby before starting on site at Manchester Piccadilly from start of July until end of the year. The schemes are working across various Network Rail schemes so candidates already holding the PTS accreditation are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project plans
- Ensuring accuracy of measurements and alignment on site
- Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams
- Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet required standards
- Assisting with surveys and as-built records
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within construction or civil engineering
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (preferred)
- CSCS card
- PTS Card (desirable)
