We’re working with a major infrastructure and utilities business with a strong commercial team of over 30 people, delivering projects across the North East. Due to continued growth and upcoming work on AMP8 and other frameworks, they’re looking to bring in a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. The Role You’ll be joining a busy, supportive commercial team led by experienced framework managers. The team is young, energetic, and growing fast, so you’ll need to be confident managing your own workload and able to support junior team members. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and managing CVR reports. Procurement and subcontractor payments. Instructing works and managing change control. Supporting monthly client and ESH progress updates. Working collaboratively across different frameworks. You’ll work closely with the MQS and commercial leads to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and commercially sound. What They’re Looking For NEC contract experience (essential). Background in civils, housing, oil & gas, roads, or local government work. Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills. Around 3–8 years’ experience (SQS and MQS progression available). Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field. Pay & Benefits £35,000 – £50,000 (QS). £45,000 – £60,00 (SQS). Car allowance £6,500 + fuel card. Discretionary annual bonus (around £1,000 paid in March). 28 days’ holiday + birthday off + bank holidays. Option to buy up to 5 extra days. 2-week Christmas shutdown (7 days from holiday entitlement). 3 days in the office/on site, 2 from home (after probation). 3-month notice period post-probation for added job security.
