The Opportunity:
We are seeking a freelance Package Manager to join the delivery team on a large-scale high-rise residential scheme based in central Leeds. You’ll be working with a reputable main contractor on a complex, multi-storey development that’s already well underway. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Package Manager looking to contribute to a major city-centre project and take ownership of key elements of the build.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage specific packages (e.g. cladding, M&E, internal fit-out, or façade – depending on experience)
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to programme, quality, and safety standards
- Interface with site management, design teams, and commercial departments
- Monitor progress, produce short-term programmes, and report on package performance
- Drive H&S compliance and conduct regular inspections
- Manage design queries, technical submissions, and RFIs within your package scope
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Package Manager on medium to large-scale construction projects
- High-rise or RC frame experience highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor management
- SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS (black or white), First Aid
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and drive progress
