Freelance Finishing Manager – High-Rise Residential Scheme (Internals Focus)

Contract / Freelance Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to join a flagship high-rise residential development in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality internal finishes across a multi-storey scheme at critical stages of the programme.
The Project: A large-scale high-rise residential development comprising high-spec apartments with premium internal finishes. The project is entering a crucial phase, requiring strong leadership and a meticulous eye for detail to drive quality and programme across all internal trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all internal finishing works across multiple floors.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors including drylining, carpentry, joinery, MEP second fix, decorating, tiling, and flooring.
- Drive quality control and ensure finishes meet specification and client expectations.
- Snagging management and defect resolution.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to maintain programme milestones.
- Ensure health & safety compliance across internal work areas.
- Prepare units for inspections, handover, and client demonstrations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on high-rise residential schemes.
- Strong background managing internal packages from 1st fix through to completion.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple work fronts.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White Card), and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
