About the Company

We are a leading specialist contractor in Steel Framing Systems (SFS), delivering high-quality structural framing solutions for major residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the North East of England. Our projects range from large-scale city centre developments to complex multi-storey schemes, working with some of the region's most respected main contractors and developers. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple SFS projects across the region.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of several SFS projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, and within budget. You will act as the key operational lead between clients, site teams, and the wider business, ensuring projects run efficiently from pre-start through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee multiple Steel Framing Systems (SFS) projects across the North East.
  • Lead project delivery from contract award through to handover.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, developers, and design teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage site managers, supervisors, and subcontract installation teams.
  • Monitor programme performance and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Support commercial teams with contract administration, variations, and cost control.
  • Attend client meetings and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager within the construction industry.
  • Experience delivering SFS, light gauge steel framing, or façade/structural envelope systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of multi-storey residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating site-based teams.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts and project delivery processes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
