We are partnered with a leading multi-disciplinary practice based in Manchester who are looking for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join their team. You will support the Design Team Leader in the preparation, management, and coordination of project activities across RIBA Stages 1-7, ensuring delivery aligns with the project brief, meets agreed programmes, and adheres to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and specification of building projects, ensuring compliance with current guidelines, standards, and regulations.
  • Support the progression of projects through planning applications, Building Regulations, and listed building consent where required.
  • Assist the Project Lead in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Engage proactively with clients, delivering a high standard of service within commercial constraints.
  • Contribute to discussions on architectural and related technical matters.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the practice and its clients, with flexibility to meet project demands when required.

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified with a relevant degree (or equivalent).
  • Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good graphic and presentation skills.
  • Sound understanding of architectural design principles and practice.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
