Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in gas or utility infrastructure?

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK infrastructure contractor that is expanding its Energy Infrastructure team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical utility projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth across gas infrastructure frameworks, developing strategic client relationships and securing new work within an established and growing market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across gas infrastructure and utility frameworks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility companies, developers, asset owners and framework partners.
  • Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.
  • Support bid and tender submissions alongside commercial and estimating teams.
  • Monitor framework opportunities, procurement activity and market trends.
  • Maintain CRM pipeline reporting and sales forecasting.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives across the wider energy infrastructure business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' Business Development experience within gas, utilities or energy infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of UK utility procurement and framework agreements.
  • Proven experience winning framework and repeat business opportunities.
  • Experience working with bid and estimating teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Essential Experience

Applicants must have experience winning or developing opportunities on high-value infrastructure projects (£25m+), ideally within the utilities or energy infrastructure sector.
