A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) Engineer to join a specialist environmental engineering team. Based in Sheffield, with regular UK-wide travel, this role involves the technical installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of temporary environmental systems including LEV, heating, fume extraction, ventilation, monitoring, and water treatment solutions.
This is a hands-on, client-facing position for someone who thrives on delivering high-quality solutions that make a positive impact on people’s health and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out on-site technical installations across all RVT equipment types.
- Commission and validate LEV systems in line with regulatory standards.
- Undertake routine servicing and maintenance to ensure systems perform at their best.
- Support the ‘ready for hire’ process by assisting in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Liaise with clients to understand project needs, offer expert guidance, and ensure outstanding service.
- Provide instruction and guidance to site agents on safe equipment use.
- Assist in the production of LEV reports and technical documentation.
- Maintain high standards of site health and safety.
- Stay current with regulations, best practices, and technical innovations in LEV systems.
Essential Requirements:
- LEV Qualification to BOHS P600/P601 standard
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification
- CSCS Card
- Construction site experience
- Project management experience
- Full clean UK driving licence
Desirable:
- HVAC/Ventilation experience
- Knowledge of Industrial Water Treatment
- SSSTS
- Health & Safety certified to Level 3
