We are partnered with a leading multi-disciplinary practice based in Leeds who are looking for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join their team. You will support the Design Team Leader in the preparation, management, and coordination of project activities across RIBA Stages 1–7, ensuring delivery aligns with the project brief, meets agreed programmes, and adheres to company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and specification of building projects, ensuring compliance with current guidelines, standards, and regulations.
- Support the progression of projects through planning applications, Building Regulations, and listed building consent where required.
- Assist the Project Lead in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Engage proactively with clients, delivering a high standard of service within commercial constraints.
- Contribute to discussions on architectural and related technical matters.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrate commitment to the practice and its clients, with flexibility to meet project demands when required.
Requirements:
- Professionally qualified with a relevant degree (or equivalent).
- Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good graphic and presentation skills.
- Sound understanding of architectural design principles and practice.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
