We're recruiting for an expanding infrastructure business looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join its growing Water team.
You'll work on a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, taking designs from concept through detailed design and into construction and commissioning.
The Role
You'll be responsible for
- Civil and drainage design
- Engineering drawings and design solutions
- Calculations, specifications, reports and estimates
- Water and wastewater infrastructure design
- Drainage, clean water, separation and waste treatment projects
- Design assurance and quality control
- Technical problem solving
- Coordinating surveys and multidisciplinary design inputs
- Client and stakeholder engagement
- Supporting junior engineers and technical staff
About You
We're looking for a qualified Civil Engineer with
- Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of UK water industry and drainage standards
- Auto CAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience
- Good understanding of hydraulic design principles
- Experience with concrete slabs, retaining walls and hardstandings
- BIM experience is desirable
- ICE membership or Chartered status is advantageous
Experience of infrastructure projects, with water/wastewater experience advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided to candidates with strong transferable design experience.
