We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join a leading UK architecture practice specialising in the delivery of complex, large-scale commercial developments. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable Architect who can take full ownership of projects, operate independently, and confidently lead schemes from concept through to completion.
The practice works across a diverse and well-established portfolio including Healthcare, Residential, Retail, and Industrial & Logistics, delivering technically challenging, design-led projects across the UK.
The Role
You will take a leading position in the design and technical delivery of major projects, acting as Job Runner across all RIBA stages. The role requires a confident, autonomous Architect who can coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of large-scale commercial projects.
- Manage projects across all RIBA stages as Job Runner.
- Coordinate consultants, engineers, and wider design teams.
- Produce and review technical information using Revit.
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements.
- Undertake CDM Principal Designer and Building Safety Act duties where required.
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Maintain design quality, coordination and project performance.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture (UK accredited).
- ARB / RIBA Chartered Architect or MCIAT equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years UK experience on large-scale commercial projects.
- Proven experience as Job Runner on complex schemes.
- Advanced Revit capability (essential).
- Experience with CDM Principal Designer duties desirable.
- Strong understanding of Building Safety Act requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
