Linear Recruitment is working with a leading, privately-owned civil engineering contractor based in Derby. The company delivers a wide range of high-value projects across the UK in the energy, industrial, and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their pre-contract team.
The Role
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in pricing civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting detailed tenders and cost estimates
- Sourcing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Liaising with clients to fully understand project requirements
- Attending handover meetings for successful tenders
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Conducting site visits to assess conditions and cost factors
What You’ll Need
- Experience in estimating groundworks, reinforced concrete, or general civil engineering
- Ability to estimate from first principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Full UK driving licence
