Linear Recruitment is working with a leading, privately-owned civil engineering contractor based in Derby. The company delivers a wide range of high-value projects across the UK in the energy, industrial, and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their pre-contract team.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in pricing civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting detailed tenders and cost estimates
  • Sourcing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liaising with clients to fully understand project requirements
  • Attending handover meetings for successful tenders
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Conducting site visits to assess conditions and cost factors

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in estimating groundworks, reinforced concrete, or general civil engineering
  • Ability to estimate from first principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
