Freelance Site Manager – Reservoir Upgrade Project Location: Chesterfield Contract: Freelance, ongoing Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: Days We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a live reservoir upgrade project, overseeing a range of improvement works including access road alterations and associated site upgrades. This is an immediate-start opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who is confident working independently and managing construction activities safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractors. * Oversee reservoir upgrade works and modifications to the site access road. * Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. * Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors. * Monitor progress and ensure programme requirements are met. * Carry out site inspections and ensure all works comply with RAMS and project requirements. * Manage and monitor temporary works on site. * Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and documentation. * Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors and other site personnel. * Ensure a strong focus on health, safety and environmental requirements throughout the works. Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager within a relevant construction/civil engineering environment. * Previous experience working on reservoir, infrastructure, civils, highways or similar projects would be highly beneficial. * Previous experience with shuttering joinery, reinforced concrete and rebar - essential. * SMSTS – essential. * Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification/experience – essential. * Relevant CSCS card – essential * Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site procedures. * Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities with minimal supervision. * Excellent communication and organisational skills.
