About the Role

Our client are looking for an experienced Planner to join a major infrastructure delivery alliance working on long-term water and wastewater projects across the East of England.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning and successful delivery of civil engineering and MEICA projects, supporting both pre-construction and live project teams.

You'll work collaboratively with estimating, commercial and operational teams to develop robust programmes, monitor project performance and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Project Support
  • Support estimating and delivery teams by developing and maintaining detailed project programmes.
  • Ensure planning standards and project controls are consistently applied.
  • Assist in establishing effective construction methodologies, sequencing and work outputs..
  • Pre-Construction
  • Produce and develop tender programmes.
  • Create planning animations and digital rehearsals to support bids and project delivery.
  • Review programme compliance against tender requirements.
  • Project Delivery
  • Lead and support collaborative planning sessions.
  • Update and maintain project programmes using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor critical paths, key milestones and programme performance.
  • Identify programme risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Commercial & Programme Control
  • Record and quantify delay events where applicable.
  • Develop programmes demonstrating the impact of change in line with contractual requirements.
  • Provide advice on project risks, float consumption and programme impacts.

About You

Essential

  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience planning construction projects within the UK civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and programme requirements.
  • Experience facilitating collaborative planning sessions.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6/Primavera Cloud.
  • Competent using Microsoft Project.

Desirable

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
