Freelance Assistant Site Manager – Housing Development Bishop Auckland, County Durham The Opportunity We’re looking for a freelance Assistant Site Manager to support our team on a busy housing development in Bishop Auckland. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help drive progress on site, maintain quality standards, and keep everything running smoothly alongside the Site Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day management of construction activities on site. Supervise trades and subcontractors to ensure work meets required quality and safety standards. Monitor and enforce site health & safety compliance (SSSTS/SMSTS essential). Coordinate with suppliers, deliveries, and project team members to maintain progress. Keep site records up-to-date and report regularly on progress. Requirements Proven experience in a site management role, preferably in housing/residential builds.
