We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering team delivering major infrastructure schemes across the South. Projects include a highways scheme near Folkestone and a large-scale Entry/Exit System at the Port of Dover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of civil engineering projects
  • Budget monitoring and cost control
  • Subcontract procurement and contract administration
  • Preparation of estimates and cost reporting
  • Valuation and agreement of variations (NEC contracts)
  • Certification of interim and final payments
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Support dispute resolution processes
  • Mentoring junior commercial staff
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior QS within civil engineering
  • Strong background in highways / infrastructure projects
  • NEC contract experience essential
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical ability
  • Flexible approach with willingness to travel
  • Full UK driving licence required
