We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering team delivering major infrastructure schemes across the South. Projects include a highways scheme near Folkestone and a large-scale Entry/Exit System at the Port of Dover.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of civil engineering projects
- Budget monitoring and cost control
- Subcontract procurement and contract administration
- Preparation of estimates and cost reporting
- Valuation and agreement of variations (NEC contracts)
- Certification of interim and final payments
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Support dispute resolution processes
- Mentoring junior commercial staff
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior QS within civil engineering
- Strong background in highways / infrastructure projects
- NEC contract experience essential
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical ability
- Flexible approach with willingness to travel
- Full UK driving licence required
