Linear Partners are working with a leading mid-market investment bank as they continue to grow their Technology team in London. It’s a strong opportunity to join a well-established platform with consistent deal flow, offering good exposure to execution and client interaction across a range of tech sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the execution of M&A transactions across buy-side and sell-side processes
- Building and working with financial models, including valuations and transaction analysis
- Preparing client materials such as pitch books, IMs, and presentations
- Conducting company and industry research across technology sectors
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of transaction processes, coordinating with clients and advisors
- Working closely with senior team members on execution and deliverables
- Supporting origination work, including preparation of pitch materials
- Managing multiple workstreams and deadlines across live projects
- Ensuring consistently high-quality, accurate output
Requirements
- 1–4 years’ experience in investment banking, transaction services, or a related field
- Strong academic background from a good university
- Solid financial modelling and valuation skills
- Good understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Some exposure to M&A or transaction environments
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, accurate work
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Interest in the technology sector and mid-market deal space
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
