Linear Partners are working with a leading global private markets investor as they continue to grow their Secondaries team in London. This is a strong opportunity to join a well-regarded platform with a broad investment mandate, offering exposure to a wide range of GP-led and LP-led transactions across private equity.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the evaluation and execution of secondaries transactions across both GP-led and LP-led opportunities
- Building and working with financial models to assess fund and portfolio performance
- Conducting detailed due diligence on underlying portfolios, managers, and assets
- Analysing fund structures, cash flows, and return profiles
- Preparing investment materials, including internal memos and committee presentations
- Working closely with senior team members throughout the investment process
- Monitoring existing investments and supporting portfolio management activities
- Conducting broader market and sector research across private equity
- Managing multiple workstreams across live opportunities
Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or a related field
- Strong academic background from a good university
- Solid financial modelling and analytical skills
- Good understanding of private equity, fund structures, and valuation principles
- Exposure to M&A, leveraged finance, or investing environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Clear communication skills and ability to present analysis effectively
- Genuine interest in private markets and secondaries
