Linear Partners are partnering with a leading US Elite Boutique as they continue to build out their team in London. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded platform, working on complex, high-profile transactions within a lean team, offering strong exposure to senior bankers and clients from day one.
Key responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of core execution workstreams across live M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side)
- Building and running detailed financial models, including valuation, merger, and scenario analysis
- Leading the preparation of client materials such as pitch books, IMs, and management presentations
- Working closely with senior bankers on deal positioning, structuring, and client messaging
- Managing day-to-day transaction processes, coordinating with clients, counterparties, and advisors
- Overseeing analysts and reviewing output to ensure a consistently high standard
- Supporting negotiations through strong analytical input and well-prepared materials
- Managing multiple live processes and prioritising effectively under pressure
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in investment banking (M&A or relevant coverage), ideally from a top-tier platform
- Strong academic background from a leading university
- Advanced financial modelling skills, with the ability to build and run models independently
- Solid grounding in valuation and accounting fundamentals
- Direct experience working on live M&A transactions
- Comfortable taking ownership and operating with a high level of autonomy
- Experience managing analysts and reviewing their work
- High attention to detail and consistently strong execution
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Strong commercial judgement and interest in working across a range of sectors
