We are currently recruiting for a Stock Clerk/Inventory Control Clerk to join our stock office team located at our facility in Gillingham.
Shift Pattern Available: Monday – Friday 14:00–22:00
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour, plus a weekly shift allowance of £20.00 per week, paid weekly.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Keep good in/out inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records up to date using our WMS.
- Put together data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
- Determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
- Look into damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
- Find products to ensure the correct product ID, also conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
- Verify shipping orders against stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, catalogues, manuals and product lists.
- Review files to find unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products.
- Follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Help with new goods in/out booking requests via Outlook and sometimes telephone.
- Any other ad‑hoc office duties.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience of stock control.
- Previous experience of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); willingness to learn is essential.
- Computer literate, confident user of all Microsoft packages and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills.
- Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone with strong linguistic skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team in a busy office environment.
