As the global leader in temperature‑controlled logistics, we keep the food supply chain moving—storing, preparing, and delivering products for customers ranging from major retailers to schools, hospitals, and restaurants. To support growing customer demand, we’re expanding our team and are looking for an Inventory Control Technician to join our Bellshill facility.
Shift Pattern: Monday – Saturday working 08:00-16:30 (half day in the week, and half day on a Saturday).
Rate of Pay: ÂŁ13.53 per hour.
The Role
As an Inventory Control Technician, you'll split your time between our office environment and our cold‑store warehouse (around –18°C). Fully equipped with PPE, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our inventory is accurate, traceable, and ready to move.
Responsibilities
- Conducting daily cycle counts and maintaining accurate physical and digital inventory records.
- Managing data across ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping processes.
- Ordering and monitoring materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels.
- Keeping inventory, purchasing, and shipping records accurate and up to date.
- Reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and accounting data to ensure stock integrity.
- Identifying replenishment needs and assessing stock discrepancies or damages.
- Investigating shrinkage and resolving inventory adjustments.
- Verifying product information, pallet IDs, and authorised substitutions to ensure outbound accuracy.
- Supporting full physical inventories and recommending the disposal of obsolete or damaged stock.
- Safely operating warehouse material‑handling equipment in line with all policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Have previous experience in inventory or stock control.
- Are familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or eager and willing to learn.
- Are confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable with data‑driven tasks.
- Bring strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Are comfortable working in a cold‑store environment (full PPE provided).
- Have your own transport for daily travel to site.
- Experience using material handling equipment preferred.
