Accountabilities
- Report to your team leader or manager any damage checked on goods in and goods out, also checking on damage in the coldstores and to MHE kit. This includes ensuring that all products are wrapped and stacked correctly as laid down in company procedures.
- Ensure that accuracy in all roles is adhered to and recorded & reported correctly.
- Complete all clerical functions/records required by the operation such as receipts, despatches, temperature recording, cleaning processes, stock checks and probe checks.
- Ensure that all processes are carried out in a timely manner ensuring targets are achieved and procedures are followed.
- Report any visual hazards found in the workplace to the Operations Manager or General Manager.
- Monitor MHE equipment to ensure that the proper and necessary care and attention is applied and when using them and that pre-shift inspections are carried out before use. Report all defects and damage through the management chain.
- Ensure all processes are carried out effectively.
- Follow all company procedures relating to the role employed on and maintain a safe and efficient working area.
- Identify any personal training in conjunction with the General Manager to ensure that the role can be efficiently carried out.
Health and Safety
- You as an employee are responsible for Health and Safety to protect you and your colleagues. Before commencing any work, you must assess the job/area or trailer you are working in and either report any risks or hazards to your team leader or manager to re-assess.
Performance Measures
- Completion of the Key functions, intake, loading, vehicle turnaround times, replenishment, cleaning, targets etc.
- Monitor cleanliness of Company vehicles and cleanliness of Company Cold Store, reporting any deficiencies to your team leader.
- Report any anomalies such as perceived theft through the management chain.
Common Responsibilities
- Make sure all MHE equipment is in good order and report all defects or damages through the management chain.
- Ensure that all company vehicles are clean before loading.
- Report damages and shortages at goods in and despatch stages to the team leader.
- Ensure stock is securely wrapped and that the pallet is not damaged or substandard.
- Ensure vehicles are correctly loaded to prevent damage in transit and ensure axle weight allowances are adhered to.
- Follow correct manual handling procedures.
- Ensure temperatures of goods in and despatched goods are recorded accordingly and any deficiencies are reported. Ensure that calibrated probes are used to check these.
- Communicate effectively with team leader and work colleagues ensuring the jobs are prioritised.
- Follow all company procedures utilising all screens on AS400 and complete in the correct manner.
- Check pallet heights and sizes. Will it fit in relevant store?
- Advise the management chain of any discrepancies as they happen.
- Carry out stock checks as detailed.
- Carry out cleaning duties as detailed.
- Report any damage to MHE equipment, racking, pallets or any other area in or around the cold store with immediate effect.
- Report to the team leader prior to taking any breaks and ensure that breaks are taken at the appropriate time in accordance with instructions from the management chain.
- Ensure all FLT driving, lifting and positioning is carried out in the correct manner.
- Carry out any other reasonable request of work from the management chain.
- Follow correct goods returned process and place goods in a designated area.
