Location: Portbury – Bristol. Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00‑19:00 (flexibility required). Salary: £31,600 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport Operations & Compliance
    • Driver allocation, wages, holidays and daily monitoring.
    • Ensure compliance with driving hours, WTD and drivers’ legislation.
    • Manage overspeeds, driving hours, missing mileage, defects and infringements (including debriefs).
    • Carry out driver debriefs, review RTD hours, daily checks, missing data, Tacho vs. defect app, repeat issues, DWAC alerts/minutes, and more.
    • Maintain system data across Aquarius, FleetManager, Tacho Web, and keep vehicle files at 15 months.
  • Fleet & Vehicle Administration
    • Book vehicle inspections/MOTs and manage defects.
    • Print, scan, file service sheets; update the service board.
    • Complete vehicle camera checks and report faults.
    • Order and record site fuel; process P/Os and Workday orders.
  • Incident & Safety Management
    • Report RTAs and near misses; complete incident reports and accident debriefs.
  • People Management
    • Support staff training and daily management.
    • Manage absence and RTWs.
    • Assist with investigations and Q&A documentation.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with colleagues across the transport network to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in transport supervision is ideal; full training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • CPC qualified or willing to work towards CPC if not held.
  • Strong attention to detail and thorough compliance knowledge.
  • Confident communicator with good organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
  • IT‑confident, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Positive, proactive team‑player with a can‑do attitude.
