We support customers who keep our schools and restaurants stocked and supplied as well as working with many of the UK’s leading retailers. We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Night Operations Team at our Bristol, Portbury depot.

Rate of Pay: £16.54 per hour, plus £55.00 per week night shift allowance, paid weekly.

Are you a hands-on, proactive leader with a passion for keeping things moving — even through the night? We\\\’re looking for a Team Leader to oversee our night shift operation, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient stock flow through the warehouse. If you\\\’re ready to take ownership, lead a small team, and make a real impact in a fast-paced logistics environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end night shift operation, ensuring stock moves quickly and accurately, with minimal delays.
  • Team Leadership & Engagement – Motivate, coach, and support a small team. You\\\’ll set the tone for the shift, fostering a culture of ownership, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Operational Management – Stay on top of stock levels, warehouse organisation, and inventory accuracy. Tackle operational issues before they become problems.
  • Planning & Scheduling – Develop daily shift plans, allocate tasks, and keep everything running to schedule — even when the unexpected happens.
  • Effective Communication – Keep your team aligned with priorities, changes, and safety updates throughout the shift.
  • WMS Monitoring – Perform regular checks using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to catch and fix stock discrepancies early.
  • Housekeeping & Safety – Drive high standards of cleanliness and safety during the night shift — setting the example and ensuring compliance.
  • Cross-Shift Collaboration – Work closely with other team leaders and departments to ensure a smooth handover and consistent performance across all shifts.
  • Performance Reviews – Conduct regular team appraisals to assess performance, set goals, and support team development.

What We\’re Looking For

  • Experience in warehouse operations, ideally with exposure to fast-moving logistics environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to engage and motivate teams — particularly in a night shift setting.
  • Excellent planning and organisational ability, with confidence in managing time-sensitive tasks and shifting priorities.
  • WMS experience — you\\\’re comfortable using systems to monitor and manage inventory.
  • Resilience under pressure — you’re calm, solutions-focused, and quick-thinking when challenges arise.
  • MHE licence is a plus, but not essential.

What’s in it for me?

  • A permanent opportunity with a direct employer; we will not employ you through an agency.
  • Opportunity to develop a career within an industry leading global company.
  • Opportunity to earn an extra day of annual leave each year, up to the maximum of one extra week for length of service.
  • Free onsite car park
  • Support your emotional well-being with access to a 24/7 employee assistance phone line offering confidential free counselling and advice.
  • Preferential rates for loans and savings offered through exclusive access to a credit union.
