We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our growing European team with ideal location at our Heywood office. This role will have a European reach and cover all procurement across the region. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and working as part of a European team. This is a role that would suit someone that understands the procurement process and is eager to learn more. Full support and training will be given. We have a flexible environment with good opportunities to work from home one or two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Managing day to day procurement queries and support Managers across the business with any issues
- Prepare, submit, evaluate, and manage RFP process
- Working with suppliers, support them with queries and help to on-board new suppliers
- Negotiate and administer new or expiring supplier agreements and contracts
- Source vendors of equipment and supplies and assess them to determine strategic alignment with organization, as well product/service availability and terms of sales
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment and process invoices
- Analyze historical spend data to identify new ways to reduce costs and improve quality
- Working in Smart sheets
- Setting up catalog's in the system using Workday strategic sourcing
- Working with the business to understand what they need from suppliers
Who we're looking for:
Ideal candidate understands the procurement process and would like to learn more and develop his/her skills into a career in procurement. Is someone that finds new technology easy to work with and has experience in Smart sheets or Google Docs. You will be data-driven and use business analytics to understand and continuously optimize sourcing activities. We are looking for a service-minded Procurement Analyst that enjoys working on changing priorities and can work on multiple sites building great relationships. Working as part of a global company you will work with a broad range of stakeholders, working together to achieve the best results.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement or similar role would be beneficial but you can equally be someone that has recently graduated or is early in their career
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in Workday Strategic sourcing or other procurement systems would be beneficial
- Ability to manage and analyze data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information and respond to questions clearly
- Fluent in English
- Natural curiosity along with a high degree of enthusiasm and commitment
- Sound judgment and decision making, considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to field and functional partners
