To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Peterborough depot.
Shift Available: Monday - Friday working on Nights
Rate of pay: £15.90 per hour for hours worked up to 39 hours each week, plus a weekly night shift allowance of £55.00 paid weekly. Any hours worked over 39 hours each week will be paid at time and a half.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported
- Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle
- Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)
- Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot
What are we looking for?
- Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Someone who can lift up to 18kg
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
