We are currently recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join our transport division, located at our Heywood facility.
Shift Available: Working 4 on 4 off Days 06:00-18:00.
Rate of Pay: £18.61 per hour, plus a shift allowance of £40.00 per week.
The role
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
- Maintain, repair and service units and trailers to MOT standards.
- Making sure vehicle cleaning requirements are up to standard before MOT service.
- Repairing defects.
- General basic garage duties.
- Dealing with breakdowns nationwide.
What we are looking for
- Experience with maintenance and MOT on HGVs.
- Someone who holds a HGV Class 1 License.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical instrumentation and safety compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
