At Lineage, helping to feed the world is more than a job – it’s a purpose we live every day. Lineage is the world’s largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions. To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Grimsby depot.
Shift Available: 4 on 4 off Nights
Rate of pay: £16.08 per hour, plus an irregular shift allowance of £40.00 per week, and a night shift allowance of £55.00 per week, paid weekly. Overtime after 39 hours each week are paid at time and a half (£23.19 per hour).
Drivers will also be required to complete a varied work base including distance, and local shuttle routes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
- Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
- Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
- Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience.
- Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.
What are we looking for?
- Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
