Are you an experienced inventory professional with a passion for accuracy, leadership, and process improvement? At Lineage, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Stock Office Team Leader to lead and support our busy stock control team. Lineage is a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics, ensuring that food products reach shelves, kitchens, and customers across the UK and beyond. Join a team that plays a vital role in keeping the supply chain running efficiently.
As Stock Office Team Leader, you will take ownership of stock integrity across the site while leading a small team in delivering accurate, timely, and efficient stock control processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the stock office, including Goods In, order processing, and managing the booking diary.
- Ensuring all relevant systems (including AS400, Workday and Dayforce) are kept up to date with accurate stock and staffing information.
- Organising and coordinating physical inventory checks, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Managing the inventory queries inbox – responding to questions around stock issues, product recalls, and investigations.
- Developing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Recommending actions for handling excess, obsolete, or damaged stock, and supporting waste reduction.
- Managing team rotas, authorising holidays, and arranging cover where necessary to maintain continuous support.
- Providing clear and consistent leadership and motivation to your team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to systems and processes within the stock office environment.
We’re seeking a confident and organised leader with strong stock control experience and a keen eye for detail. You will need:
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – familiarity with AS400 or Connect is a bonus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data management.
- Previous experience supervising a small team, with the ability to support, train, and develop team members.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekend or shift coverage as needed.
What’s in it for me?
- A permanent opportunity with a direct employer; we will not employ you through an agency.
- Opportunity to develop a career within an industry leading global company.
- Opportunity to earn an additional day of annual leave each year, up to the maximum of one extra week.
- Free onsite car park.
- Support your emotional well-being with access to a 24/7 employee assistance phone line offering confidential free counselling and advice.
- Preferential rates for loans and savings offered through exclusive access to a credit union.
