Inventory Control Clerk

Overview

Due to internal progression we\’re now seeking an Inventory Control Clerk at our Portbury, Bristol facility. In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:

Responsibilities

• Keep goods in/out inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records up to date using AS400 WMS & Connect.
• Look into damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues. If you need to pop into the Coldstore, don\’t worry! We will provide you with full PPE so you stay warm. This is an office based role!
• Find products to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
• Look at stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, and other listed information with catalogues, manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of shipping order.
• Review files to find unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products.
• Help with new goods in/out booking requests via Outlook and sometimes telephone.
• Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
• Excellent organisation and administration skills.
• Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to drive to site in your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of stock control.
• Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Connect & AS400 system is desirable. Although a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
• Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
• Excellent organisation and administration skills.
• Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to drive to site in your own vehicle.
