Responsibilities
- Lead QHSSE strategy and performance across the Heywood site.
- Ensure compliance with food safety systems (BRC/IFS) and legal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive preventive actions.
- Champion Lineage's LEAN improvement programmes and safety culture.
- Support site with MOC (Management of Change) processes.
- Deliver training and coaching on all QHSSE topics.
- Manage data reporting for QHSSE KPIs, audit results and incidents.
- Oversee emergency response planning and security processes.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to meet safety and quality standards.
- Stay up to date on relevant legislation and share best practices.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or above) required.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, food safety (HACCP), and BRC standards.
- Effective communicator at all levels in English.
- Previous experience in cold storage or warehouse logistics a plus.
- Skilled in influencing and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in MS Office and warehouse systems (WMS preferred).
- Able to work independently and travel occasionally as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold environment.
