We are working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor based in Stevenage, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical packages across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, and public sector projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Role
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full commercial lifecycle of M&E projects up to £8m
- Preparing cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts and variations
- Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
- Working closely with project managers and site teams
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical packages
- Experience working on projects up to £5m–£8m
- Good understanding of JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and organisational skills
